Author Topic: Am i the only one who has bad days in AH? (Read 364 times)

Grrr....not a good day for me in AH yesterday.

Been doing very well in the tiffy this tour until yesterday. Hadn't been shotdown in it for 3 days prior to yesterday then i get shotdown 3 times

The 1st time i got shotdown i was chasing a jug at about 480+mph and straight after i took his wing off i lose my tail. It coulda been 1 of 3 things.

1) because of the excessive speed i was travelling at it may have just torn off

2) i rammed the p47 after i shot it's wing off (shot him at about d150)

3) i was only about 1000ft above an ostie and he may have shot me. Great shooting if he did because i was flying like a rocket. I only saw the ostie when i was in my chute floating back to the earth

The 2nd time i got shotdown was entirely my own fault. We (bishops) attacked a base and were in the process of vulching. I had just vulched someone and had put on auto-trim, as i leant over to grab my beer my elbow whacked my joystick. The results weren't pretty

The 3rd time i got shotdown i was over an nme base attacking a hurri. At the time i was surrounded by friendlies so i thought i was in no danger. After 2 passes i down the hurri but, i look up and wet myself. I see about 20+ cons coming right towards me from the base. Whatever happened to my friends i dunno, but i was probably gonna meet their fate

So i decide to run to my friends but there's a problem, in order to get to my fellow bish i have to fly right past the enemy base though all the cons. Just as i could see several green icons an la7 latched onto my tail and started shooting at d800 PING!!! there goes my radiator. He starts closing letting off more shots with every inch gained on me. With a horrible splutter my radiator dies so i have to ditch with a con on me. My dicth was going perfect until i saw the horde of tress i was gonna have to land in

Needless to say my wing clipped one and i died a horrible, horrible death

Anyone else have bad days like these?

HA HA HA you call that a bad day? That would be a GOOD day for me

Typically I have "bad" day if I'm not flying with my squad or wingman. It just seems like I fly smarter and better when I do. When I go solo I get lazy and just don't care if I die.

I have bad tours, like this one. In two days I racked up more deaths than I had all last month!

Typhies have weak tails. I never knew the 'weak tail' historical memento was modelled in AH....

Until I tried to pull off from a near-500mph shallow dive with a stick pull. In other aircraft I've done this several times, attempting a tight Immelmann with very fast speeds, timing it just right so after the move you are within 500 yards of an enemy passing overhead..

A bit stronger pull.. the black out comes.. and *crack*.. there goes the tail.

thrila i feel you pain.

With me the last 3 tours were similar.
I was on a nice steady kill streak in my D9, and than there are those 2-3 days in which i rack up deaths faster than i can look. It seems whenever i come into the range of a 25-30 kill streak, AH tries everything to get me.

But theres only one way to handle that, take it easy.

I'm in a huge slump... I can't shoot down anything, and I get killed constantly... it is like I'm playing a different game.

It is the gaming gods telling us to take a break, then buy a new piece of hardware so we feel omnipotent and break the slump.

What's a bad day? This tour is just like the last two or three tours for me.....BAD THINGS MAN, BAD THINGS!

Lets put it into perspective for me. I have flown nothing but CT this tour so far. I have .084 perks in a fighter. I have flown both the La5 and primarily the Fw-190A5 in there and I can't get a kill on anyone. For me it is time to take a tour off and read or do something else.
