You could emigrate you know. I'm sure it's better in Great Britain......oops sorry

maybe Austraila....nope dead issue there too.

Maybe another European country will be better... nope no good there too.

Guess as they say, "You're on your own Son".
(Preacher to "hero" in Blazing Saddles.)

Damn shame the "civilized" Euros thinnk you are incapable of defending yourself. How dare you deny the offender the pleasure of your death!

Think..... there might be anbother "uncivilized" country that thinks your life might be worth enough to let you defend yourself......
Maverick - seems you have no concept of what it's like to live in an unarmed society. Indeed, to many it is inconceivable. But as far as I can tell, very few other countries arm everyone. Only the US arms everyone, including nascent criminals. And yet the homicide rate in those unarmed countries is lower. I don't just mean Britain. Funny that...

Maverick, have you ever been outside the US? (Crossing the border to Canada or Mexico for the day does not count) Do you hold a passport?  I am moderately well travelled, although Singapore and Indonesia are the only places I've been in the southern hemisphere. Been to most European countries, but not Scandinavia. Never been to Africa. And yet... despite all of those societies being unarmed (but with armed police) none has a homicide rate which even comes close to that of the US. Funny that...

Yeah Beet1e, I'm sure it's a big load off of St.Santa's mind that European countries have a lower homocide rate.  Hell, he could have that engraved on his tombstone!

One even said (smiling) 'you don't have any concealed weapons on you, have you?'. Not sure what to make of that - he might condone it privately but not publicly. No idea.

Heh, you should have asked (smiling) if he had one you could borrow.  Good luck with the scumbags, hopefully they find some other crime to distract them.

so Beet1e, do you really live in an 'unarmed' society? I don't think so.. It seems you live in a 'Law- Abiding Citizen Unarmed Yet with Armed Criminals' society.  Yes, your country has this Utopian goal of smiling-happy people living their lives.. very noble.. but they forgot to lock the gates when normal people came in.. some of whom have malicious and anti-social intent. It doesn't matter which country you live in, some will commit crimes on others.

The difference is that we have the option and right to defend ourselves.

get back to us when your country doesn't have any more criminals and we will listen how great it is to live there.

the policeman was telling you to arm yourself . dont be a fool . get a weapon and if you use it learn how to  get rid of it.

jesus dont you have bikers where you live . go ask one how to defend yourself the thug way . there is always a way. walk around with a pillow case full of coke cans at the worst.
