Why does it remain open?

Why do we let illegals from Mexico come into this country every day?

Why is GB trying to allow illegals from Mexico who worked here illegally (not paying into Social security) to collect it after 5 years working in the US from Mexico.

How can we claim any kind of national security, if you can sneak stuff over the border with Mexico?

Why do I as a Californian pay for an illegal to come to my state, and get sick or have children?

I have a friend, who is very much the deluxe lib, he says we need illegals to do the jobs Americans do not want to do, like pick crops.

Well, it is not just those jobs they have taken, when my dad got out of the Navy the trades where real jobs, you could make a living on them.

Now find a cabinet shop or construction site that is not 75% illegal immigrants?

They may be 75% hispanic, but that doesn't make them illegal.

Most of our workforce is hispanic, and most are actually Mexican citizens here with a green card. We just had an INS sweep, and we lost 5 employees out of 600.

I think they are still taking the jobs no one else wants.

Careful GTO, when you start thinking that way, someone, somewhere, will label you a Jack Boot Nazi who's racist.

I have worked for a shady company and half the staff where ilegal, My dad and I where part of the few who where not.

The Job question is only part of it.  You can sneak guns and bombs over the border allot easier then drugs, since dogs do not smell for them, doesn't that seem a little stupid considering?

Rip, Fukem, I am going to think what I want and do what I want, and not worry about the PC police, I reserve the right to hate anyone I want, for any reason!
Having said that, and knowing what real hate is, I do not currently hate anyone.

Wlfgng: and for a lower wage

APPARENTLY lower wage. The total amount of money going to his family cortesy of taxpayers is much higher than the wage itself. Welfare, education, healthcare, crime and incarceration, corruption of government, city services (public transportation, etc. subcidised by taxes those guys do not pay) etc.

That is a clear case where benefits are private and clearly seen by a beneficiary - illegal employer and illegally residing family - but costs are socialised and not felt directly. I saw numbers that showed an average immigrant's contribution to US economy nowere near total cost of having him and caring for his family here. It's a huge drain, not a benefit in monetary terms.

There may be considerations why this country should accept illegal immigrants but profit is not one of them.

not a jackboot, Rip.. a bit uninformed maybe..

huge American industries like the produce industry rely on migrant workers, many of whom are undocumented..as well as housecleaning work ESPECIALLY in California.. good ol' decent white folk like you don't usually apply for those types of jobs

good points Miko, and very true...
but I think the reason they're here is lower wages.
the employers that pay the wages don't look past that.
It's the tax payers that pay the rest so they don't take that into consideration.
many of them are illegal to begin with so they don't 'worry' about paying the workers benefits either.

I'm also finding it hard to accept that we're giving SS benefits to illegal immigrants, whether they paid into the system or not.  They shouldn't have been in the system, they don't get the benefits of the system...thems the breaks.  However, anyone that was legally eligeable to work in the US should be entitled to SS benefits, IMO, regardless of where they currently reside.

Jobs.... no one wants!!!

Thank you very much libs. We have an army of lazy bums on welfare who watch a cable TV all day long. All paid for with money earned by me and stolen by you libs. No wonder that they "don't want a f* job".

Thanks again.
