Lion Rips Woman's Arm Off

MADRID (Reuters) - A lioness in a Spanish animal sanctuary ripped the right arm off a British tourist after the 54-year old woman clambered up a barrier and stuck her fingers inside the cage, local media reported.
"The lady climbed up the three-meter high barrier...She climbed to the top and stuck her fingers inside the enclosure. Then Martha, one of the lionesses, grabbed her fingers, tugged her in and ripped her arm off," Serafin Domenech, owner of El Arca sanctuary near Alicante in southeast Spain, told state television Wednesday.

Local media said the woman, who had been at the park with a group of other British visitors, was airlifted to a hospital nearby.

She must've watched too much "The Lion King". She should sue Disney on the grounds that they influenced her decision to interact with the lions in the first place. Disney has deeper pockets than a zoo.

Plus this woman was 54 years old, she mustve felt over-energetic or sumthing..I wouldnt climb 3 meter barrier unless someone points gun at me..
And if theres 200kg cat-animal sharpening its claws behind it, i would rather take the bullet..

when this type of thing happens in the States.. they usually kill the animal for behaving naturally..that dumb woman is simply food to little fluffy in the cage.

This woman is well past breeding age... I think a situation like this calls for retroactive abortion.
