Author Topic: HTC, " This squad has been disbanded " in the CT? (Read 398 times)

In the CT many apparently active squads are listed as " This squad has been disbanded " under the CT squad rankings. It's been like this for along time, any idea of why? Is there a problem with how those particular squads are organized on our end?

i think what is happening here is various people come in, set up a squad for whatever reason and then eventually disband it for whatever reason, but the ranking page doesn't get updated enough to remove this "disbanded" squads from the squad ranking pages - and the scores they managed to attain keeps them where they are in the "rankings."

i dunno how the script for updating the squad rank page works, but it seems to me maybe it needs some sort of if/then statement or however fancy schmancy coding is done these days.

on "lookup players squad" WideWing seems to have an active CT squad according to that page, but shows as disbanded on rank page. i do know that WW disbanded his CT squad to help out JB79, and then later quit JB79's CT squad - there was a post all about it. dunno if WW re-established his =Ghosts= in CT or not.
so looking at one page (lookup) seems to indicate an active squad - this may be the misleading page that eskimo is indicating the conflict is existing.

here are the currently ranked top 5 (disbanded) squads in CT for the current tour - ranked 1-5 as well...

try Sabre

Shane gave you another 4 squad leaders above.
About half of the squads listed have been "disbanded".

I know that if I enter "sabre" as a (My) squad leader for squad CT stats, it shows the squads numbers, but doesn't list individual players within the squad, their rankings, discoes, etc.

However, if I enter "knfe" as a (My other) squad leader for squad CT stats, it shows individual players within the squad, their rankings, discoes, etc., the squads numbers, but doesn't list the squad stats numbers.

In other words, our squad has 2 squad leaders, by entering either one, you can see onr part or the other of the stats for our squad. I don't think anyone in my squad has made any changes in months to the roster, or our squad status.

My guess is, it's pulling from the wrong squad list, i.e. from the main for that info.

Will check it out monday.
