I would like to extend my thanks to the six people at HTC.
« on: July 25, 2000, 08:00:00 PM »
I see so many posts attacking HTC and the work they do that I feel it necessary to offer some encouragement.

I must say that I have been enjoying AH much more than I did WB.  I believe that AH has been much refined and improved by their experience there and it shows.

This is an ongoing project that they have undertaken and continue to support in a way that is unheard of in the modern software industry.

We players, as individuals with our own sets of knowledge, will always find points of contention or things that we would like to see in the next version, but we should respect the efforts and the feelings of the developers who have put the real work into this sim.  They have worked VERY hard (I know, I've worked on plenty of projects that went into 16 hour days, 7 day weeks) and they don't deserve to be abused for it.  If we find mistakes or think that something obvious should be in the sim, point it out nicely or ask politely and provide information.

I think that the longevity of this sim will be heavily affected by the support that HTC gives to this community, but I also think that the longevity of the sim will depend on the support that the players give to the people at HTC.  Not just financial support, but encouraging feedback as well.

Thanks HiTech Creations.

(If this post makes me an ass-kisser in your opinion, well then   to you)

Bend over, HTC!  Here comes another one!

Smmmoooooooooooooooccchhhh!

Karnak, I'll gladly second that!

Were it not for these guys, I'd still be getting my butt chewed off every time the Visa bill came in with a triple-digit WB charge! Man, now that I think about it...Life IS good!

Basic premise before pulling the trigger:  KNOW YOUR ENEMY.

HTC is NOT the enemy...they are our allies in the search for the perfect WW2 ACM sim. They like what we like.

Karnak Yes!
All of you know when AH has been started.
Open beta was Sep '99 and commercial base was since Feb '00.

HTC & team already have done excellent job.
We are in a part of AH community arn't we?
No need claim, complaining like a child. It is nothing help at all.
but constructive comments, nice idea
and should have mind that we all bring up AH together!

Am gonna say this again...It's amazing how this sim has grown!!!  New stuff is comming all the time!!!  I remember how the last release was eagerly anticipated. Cheers were head all over when it was released.  Now the board is full of "I'm bored", "give me,give me".  Man, I still am learning stuff about this game I had no clue existed. If HTC stopped today I would be entertained for along time  .  I have a feeling that it is going to get better and better as time passes.  Just look how much has been done since beta just a few short months ago!!  HTC, I'm still a happy customer

Heheee,I love the current LW and pony thingie going on(no extra charge eihter )

I agree.  Objective criticism is one thing, but nobody deserves abuse.  And trying to downplay such abuse by claiming 'it was all in good fun' is ludicrous.

Hang in there, HTC.

I have been aware of the odd HTC bashing, and I don't like to see it happening either.

I feel incredibly lucky to be able to play this sublime creation on my computer.

Saying 'thank-you' when it's deserved is not butt-kissing, it's the sign of a class act!

Thanks Sisu, for leading the way.

Thanks HTC team, you are a class act as well ... all the way!

Cheers

Very few commercial firms, bigger, smaller, any sector, that i might know offer the degree of compromise and deliver (at least in my particular case) the level of overall customer satisfaction than HTC.

It's amazing how (now that I know) ONLY 6 people are able to keep the thing up and going so fast.

IMO, on seeing the evolution of the game, and the so far final result, anyone who whine about HTC is a plain ignorant on the terms of human effort and teamwork.

<S> HTC, and thks.

Pepino.

In addition to refining the game and introducing new stuff, I think HTC is doing a great job of tuning the gameplay.  I find that I have a good time in fighters, bombers, and vehicles.

Can't wait for the Ostwind.

For those of you who bash HTC, maybe you can play another game. I like what they've done so far and I love what's coming up. This game has already surpassed WB (except for plane selection) in every way. WTG HTC! Keep up the good work.

BTW.....SMMMMMMOOOOOOCCCCHHHH HH!!!! Now I'm n ass-kisser.
