Why da F*** do people dig up these old threads?

Because what I want to bring up (which is happening now) is the same topic as this thread was discussing (even if it was discussing it from long ago).  I don't just blindly make a new thread whenever I want to discuss things, like the majority of the AH community does.  I actually search first to see if there is already a topic suitable to the discussion.  To do otherwise is just lazy.

I explain -- in detail -- why I think this in my post.  How do you know it's crap?

I'm going to test it this weekend and see if I can reproduce it.  I'll let folks know what I find out.

Wait, are you admitting that you are going to attempt cheating, then come back here and tell everyone how its done?  'Cuz if you are, that'd be awesome.

...also, could you do some experiments for us and let us know how hard and how many times you have to hit yourself in the head with a baseball bat before you knock yourself out?

This is common in Halo 2 on the XBOX. Modem tomfoolery I won't go into here for obvious reasons. Only certain ones can do it, and most likely involved the person specifically buying this form of modem. Also it seems our European friends don't use this type much.

I doubt this form of cheating can even be performed in AHII, but it can in some games and it's the lowest of the low.

Brooke!  Don't you know that wading into the General Forum is almost as dangerous as wading into the OT Forum? :P

A bit of unsolicited advice, if it were me I would not post what you tested and what the results were.....iirc I don't think HTC likes that much even if it is in good faith.

Yes, I'm going to see if I can replicate what I saw.  However, based on Fury's post, if I find that I am able to do so in some simple way, I'll report it to HTC first before I post any info on it here.  If they ask me not to do so, I won't.

Thanks, Fury.  And this is good advice.  I'll clear information I find (if any) with HTC first before posting it here.
