For what it's worth... which is likely not much.
Time and time again, when the Kights have had an advantage and gotten ahead in the flag game, the second place team would allow the bottom team to take some of their bases while they attack the Knights. The result is usually that the Knights lose the reset. I assume that since they don't have fun winning resets, Knights tend to go off on their own to have fun in other ways. The same thing may be true of the other two teams also, I don't know. But a while back I defected to the Bish side to see what it was like there. I found that they seem to work together like a well oiled machine, stomping over the opposition at will. This is a major difference from the Knight team.
I think this difference is greater with the Pizza map because of it's size and layout. I don't think many will deny that most of the base capture there is done by stealth... attacking undefended bases. There are so many, and they are spread out so much, no team can cover them all. The result is small battles spread out over a large area with much less awareness of what's happening in the rest of the arena.
Another thing I have noticed is a popular sentiment among some Knights to let the other side win the reset in the Pizza map to get rid of it faster, and a reluctance to win a reset in the other maps because the Pizza map will return sooner.
YMMV
