I haven't seen anything in regards to squad or organization mentioned by HTC.
As for getting more reliable planes for being a better pilot... I understand how that works. I'm just curious to see how it will work out.

I'm actually curious to see how AHTOD works with the existing squad structure. In a lot of ways it would make sense to have some way of incorporating the existing squad organizations to enhance the sense of realism and immersion. At the very least, I would like to see the whole squad stats element vastly improved to give it more of an RPG texture. So you would log on to your squad page and see who has what ranks, who is missing in action, where your squad is currently based, who is up on disciplinary charges for having made remarks about some other pilots mother. . .
The ultimate would be if there were an easy way for whole squads to sign up for mission components.
The reason this is important is that-- adding to what Crowbaby said--I think AH has actually been an RPG in many ways for some of us for a while. A lot of people make the mistake of thinking that the kind of participation supported by a computer game is only about what happens within the game itself. And in that respect, in AH, there are no RPG elements. But many of us lead pretty active squad lives. We hold virtual "ranks" within that squad, have designated responsibilities (Squadron leader, XO, flight leader, etc.,) train together, and fly missions and even campaigns (scenarios, TOD) together. We care about what happens to the other members of our squads, their virtual wellbeing, their online successes and struggles. . .
If the new AH supports and even enhances that kind of in-game/out-of-game immersion for me, it will be a winner all the way.
