Why not make an option that you can choose from either Imperial or Metric?

It's possible with FF sticks.

As units for gauges I would like to see neither what is used now nor metric, but what is used in todays aviation (knots for the speedo)

With Force Feedback, you get a better feeling for trim, however in a real plane, you will feel the plane 'pushing back at you.' In AH, this is compensated by Combat Trim. Manual trim is good for making a more exact trim setting for when you fly. From the AH help page:

Auto Combat Trim automatically adjusts the trim tabs to the air speed.  This is not a precise adjustment.

There is a very detailed explanation by going to the home page/help/game overview/combat trim.

it wouldn't be realistic to have the choice to load tracers or not separately on each ammo load for one plane?

With FF sticks it is possible to set the center (where the sticks moves if you don't apply forces) wherever the progam wants. Therefore it is possible to move the center when trim is changed.

Please note: this required different data acquisition for FF and non-FF sticks.

I am paraphrasing Toad, who I think has the experience and knowledge to know what he's talking about.

As for metric gauges.  I'm all for them.

Yep, you can't simulate real trim forces with fly by wire controls. Combat trim is infact the most realistic way to go.

I feel ammo counters should stay. They are useful for knowing what your rocket/bomb loadout is, as well. Keep em!

On another note, I think you guys are asking alot of Pyro and the guys. They create a great game with minimal money and provide it for an extremely low price! Asking these detailed pilot models is probably way more than their CAD program can accomplish! We should just thank them for an excellent game and give them small suggestions on what could be improved.

We dont need pilots that flail their arms and legs when they fall. In my opinion, all the pilot needs is to have the rifle on his shoulder and be able to fire it.

S!
