The funniest thing is that even when the words are written in foreign language, in Latin letters, not Cyrillic, I still say the colour that the word means ;)

the trick is to look at one letter , not the whole word

I remember reading somewhere a while back about tests done on folks after they had undergone a commisurotomy(?), separating the brain halves.

If I remember correctly they were shown two different images, one to the left eye and one to the right. They were then asked to point to the object and say the name of it simultaneously. The subject was always surprised to find that the object pointed to was different from what they said.

I have no trouble saying the names of all the colors quickly. I wonder if being ambidextrious is a factor?

It certainly is AK. Ambidextrous people often have physically thicker connections between the two hemispheres.

The human mind really is incredibly compartmentalized in some respects, and enormously fluid in others.
