Congrats!
In one year we got two Macchis, the next one maybe we'll get a G.55 and who knows ... even a Dora!

You smell that? Do you smell that?
Napalm, son. Nothing else in the world smells like that.
I love the smell of napalm in the morning.
The smell, you know that gasoline smell, smelled like victory.

Congrats on all the great work! Even though I have never played AH, there is ample evidence that you have developed an awesome game/simulation.

Not being a member of this "community", I can only hope (imagine) for you all that a year from now AH is THE recognized highest quality multiplayer sim out there.  This implies, in my opinion, three different things:

1.  More of the same:  Receptivity to player input and frequent innovation and error correction.

2.  A widening of the game´s appeal by extending plane selection and "type of fighting" to the early war, as well as organizing frequent, diverse, and high quality historical scenarios and events.

3.  A further widening of the game´s appeal by developing versions for different and significant platforms, as your two main competitors are doing: Mac, Linux, or both.

I hope and trust that this community takes advantage of the creators´ receptivity to their suggestions, and encourages them to maintain their wonderful performance on #1,while urging them to improve their performance on #2 and #3.

Think of it... If players push for, and the creators do, the last two points, I cant see any reason for any serious high fidelity simulator fan to go anywhere else than here, with the possible exception of WWIIOL for ground war types.

It´s all about widening the appeal of AH for all the serious flight-simmers who would otherwise fail to appreciate the creators´ efforts.  I think that´s important.

Cheers,

figaro (a guest, thank you for reading me)
