Clearing Aces Video Settings
« on: February 04, 2003, 11:15:22 PM »
Can someone tell me which file to delete to start over with the Aces video settings?  I think mine is hose as all of a sudden it locks up my computer with the white screen when it starts up.
Hoping this will get me going again.  It was running fine with this system for a week with no troubles.

Windows XP
DirectX 9
ATI Radeon 9500 Pro
512M Memory

Ah, one other tidbit I just remembered.  Everytime it locks up and I reboot XP loses one of my USB devices too.  Wierd but I think not related to the problem.
Thanks!

The file is the Video7.cfg.  I would drag it to desktop or recyclebin it :)

Loss of USB on reboot......Are you using a USB hub??  I'm betting you are.  Get rid of it and use a PCI to USB internal card.  You can get it at most any computer store for less than 20 bucks the are 2,3 or 4 USB ports.

It may be the white screen is an onboard sound related conflict.
Is there an error message shown when you get the white screen?

No message... I reinstalled the video card drivers and it started working again online.
