lol doh! What a mistaka-to-maka. :D

I'm taking up French lessons later this year - I have alot of dealings with the French side of our business, so I thought I'd learn a bit and maybe get the chance to go work over there. That would be cool. :)

But doh, Dowding, you've scuppered my argument!

I may be thankful to the French for services to Democracy, but Hortlund should (if he is a monarchist) perhaps also be grateful to them for the Swedish Royal Family.

Some Napoleonic Henchman called Bernadotte I believe.

Ah, yes...
so I should consider the royal family to be French because their ancestors came from France in 1815?

Tell me...how long before someone earns the right to call themselves "Swedish" then? 200 years? More?

How many Americans are there btw?

Ah Jeez hortlund, you;re confusing threads. This is the other 'Yet another reason to love the french' thread with the beautiful women in.

This one (I was hoping) had been blessed with a little Levity.

Our Queen is still German, though whichever way you look at it.
;)

Still at it hammer and tongs in the other 'Yet another reason to love the french'  thread over on channel 2

Hmmm
There is some French blood in us Icelanders.
(Shipwrecked French Fishermen showed enhanced romance to Icelandic Farmer girls.........)
Here is a fine example:
(Wonder if Hortlund likes her.........)
It was very interesting to carry out the flight trials at Rechlin with the Spitfire and the Hurricane. Both types are very simple to fly compared to our aircraft, and childishly easy to take-off and land. (Werner Mölders)
