Which Stick?
« on: February 09, 2003, 02:49:18 PM »
I need a little guidence on picking a new stick. I have been using an MS Precicion Pro 2. I know I can't afford new CH gear. I know also that I am not concerned whether or not it has FF. One last item I have gotten quite used to having a twisty rudder. Any input or advice good or bad would be useful.

I had the chance at last years Con to fly a number of different setups.

I used to wonder if I could do better with rudder pedals etc.  In none of them did I feel I had as good of control as my sidewinder. So in my experience, stick with the Prec 2.

You can unlearn those reflexes but it will take 2 - 4 weeks of hard flying to do it.

depends on your budget. In the last month i got sick of my twisty ms stick and bought the saitek x45. The x45 was kinda nice, but I didn't like the rudder or the bulky setup. I then purchased ANOTHER twisty ms stick to see if the nose bounce would go away with a new ms stick. Well, new stick worked alot better than the old ms stick, so I have the saitek sitting on my desk looking cool, and the ms stick plugged in getting kills.

Help?

saitek cyborg...

similar layout to the MS stick with none of the bounce, and cheaper than the ms stick

skurj, i check out the saitek cyborg..in fact, almost got it except for the button placement. I could not picture using the buttons very easily the way they are laid out. That being said, base on my x45 so far I do like the saitek x/y movement. Seems quite stable.
