Joystick Not Recognized by AH?
« on: February 09, 2003, 11:41:33 PM »
Well the old flying bug has gotten to me again and I thought maybe I'd satisfy it with AH.  So tonight I downloaded the latest version of AH and the latest software and drivers for both my joystick and my throttle.  Joystick is a MS Sidewinder FF2 USB and the throttle is a CH USB Pro throttle.

Both are (of course) connected via the USB ports.  Both are recognized and working in the Win 98 game controllers applet.  However, neither seem to be recognized by AH.  When I hit excape-setup-joystick both the throttle and the stick show up but even after slecting them and clicking on "all inputs", I can't seem to make either one work in AH.  The little graph in AH doesn't show any movement and when trying to take off I get no joystick and no throttle at all.

I'm kind of stuck here.  Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks!

Hobo

Im sure you have tried everything, but did you calibrate your gear in BOTH windows AND AH? Don't mean to be making stoopit comment, but just gotta cover the ground.
Good Luck:)

Hobo,
Don't click on "all inputs".  Check this thread.

One thing ya might also consider is upgrading from 98 to xp. Solved many problems I had with peripherals and games.
