Question: Damage Model
« on: February 01, 2003, 04:17:23 PM »
Will the damage model in AH2 be similar to what we have right now, where if you get hit hard on the wingtip, your wingtip falls off, or will it be more along the lines of IL2's "if you get hit here, you see a hole."

Yes. It would be nice to see more advanced damage model than the current one. Along with visual damage should come progressive damage - decreasing effectivity, lift and increasing drag on damaged surfaces depending on number of hits and ammo type, fuel fire, more detailed engine damage, control lines damage, cockpit damage (instruments, gunsight) and so on.
Can you tell us any info about new damage model please?

I'm sure we'll hear about it once he's got it built.  Till then its hard to know what he will or won't have.

czpetr got the gist of my post... I'm just too lazy to type all that :D

And ghosth... I agree, but they probably have a rough idea what they're going to do.
