Saddam is dead
« on: February 16, 2003, 08:20:01 AM »
End then what ?

I do want to support a war against Iraq because I believe that its people deserve to be rid of Saddam and his downright criminal reign. The whole idiocy of Saddam being a threat to others than his own people, his ties with AQ and all that are a laughing stock in my opinion, but if those beliefs ultimately will bring Saddam down IŽve got no problems with these being the excuse for starting a war.
What does concern me is the future of Iraq, what will happen after Operation Liberty Strike or any of the likes. Between all the incoherent motivations for war spewed by GWB and his administration IŽve failed to notice a clear and realistic plan concerning the  make-up of a postwar Iraq.
And only when there is an acceptable pla for the future of Iraq without Saddam, then the coalition may attack and not a day before that...

Because they haven't called you and briefed you personally you assume there is no plan?

U.S. Military Lays Out Postwar Iraq Plan
If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude than the animated contest of freedom, go from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen!

Read before you plead, I stated that ŽI failed to notice a planŽ, which could be blamed either on me or the actual absence of such a plan...

I saw that.

I can interpret it two ways, I think.

One, you are requesting the BBS community to do your research for you.

You're not really concerned about what is ACTUALLY happening, you just want to vent a bit more here. Because it's not like this hasn't been readily available on all the common news outlets.

Which was it? Or is there a third?
