what upgrade path for money impared ?

My current config is the following :

KT7A + athlon 1Ghz ov 1.2
512Mo SDRAM
Crap live player
No name NIC
GF3 Ti200

My budget is something like 500$ ...

were should I start ?

Bon Jour, Straffo,

I'm thinking that your biggest decision now is whether or not to switch over to Intel at this point.

When I was about where you are, I decided to make the switch over. I'm completely happy, and the new Intel chips overclock well without all the heat. Unfortunately, I don't remember all the details of my research on whether to switch over...

I'm now runnning an Intel 2.8 Ghz at 3.2 Ghz :)

Well as I don't really follow the new hardware I don't even know what is last chipset from AMD for exemple

Last time I've searched some item NVidia was not making any chipset :D

Fer 500$ I'd watch the AMD chips...

You can likely upgrade ram, cpu and mobo quite easily for that money.

Hang onto that vid card for now

Sorry not an expert on what chipsets are out or soon to be out, but I think the AMD's are now 3ghz+
