Pilots...
« on: February 10, 2003, 09:31:37 PM »
This I believe will be one of the "most" shocking changes that has been over looked!

People creating pilots/avatars how they want them to look! So Yes you will have a "face". No more generic pilots. It seems this is going to be a persistant world, where we MIGHT EVEN BE ABLE TO WALK AROUND! Part of the constant Tour Of Duty that advances week by week, with "Goals"  per week with missions during the week to meet those goals. Almost like the CAP event but refined and very much organized BUT in an entirely new enviroment. ie. Flight Model, Game Engine, Atmosphere, Role Playing.

Not much writting to do because the war was written....... but can we re-write it?

So, will this mean realistic sized maps? Well then flights will be pretty long... kind of hard to just "Head Home" when home is oh lets say... 2 hours away? I think those at the hangers will notice something is up when you return early.... of course unless you had an engine problem and requested to return to base maybe?

Can't wait HT!

That is a good point. Realistically scaled maps. I fly the European map sometimes, and Im pretty sure it takes more than a minute to cross the Channel in a Mustang. In CFS1, I flew a Spitfire from Cherbourg to Dover, and it took me 20 minutes!

Don't it though!  I admit it gets kind of heavy during sustained 6 gee maneuvers but I think it is well worth the discomfort for the added panache.
