In honor of Lazs saying I was on crack a few months back, I dug up some video and figured out my video card/camera interface.

This was in Edmonton a few years back when I was younger, slightly stupider, and most certainly richer.

Can't open the link and I certainly can't recall every thread that I have insulted someone in but....

If I said you were on crack because of something you said about cars then what you said musta been really dumb.

You told me "Camaro's" can't possibly run in the 10's as you had "lots and lots of pals" who were racing them near you.  We did come to agreement on most things as I recall.

I'll dig up the thread and show you.

Try downloading it now, my FTP was off.

no way did I ever say that a camaro could not run in the 10's.   I can't open your vid but it seems that you are talking about a car with a huge shot of nitous and then talking about "daily driver" in the same breath.... You must have a 1000 gallon nitous tank to drive that car a couple hundred miles on nitrous.

Super chevy or some mag took a junkyard 350 and produced over 700 hp before they finaly destroyed th motor... they did it with nothing more than bigger and bigger nitrous boosts.    you could have driven this junkyard motor on the 200 or so hp  that it produced normally and then told everyone that you had a 700 hp engine but...

anyway.... show me the post where I said that no camaro even using nitrous or a jet engine or jato's could bet in the 10's.... hell... show me where I said one with a turbo or supercharger couldn't.

Here's the thread where gman and lazs discussed the 10 second camaro:

http://www.hitechcreations.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=70638

Doesn't seem like lazs said anyting about a camaro not reaching 10s... just that it wouldn't happen simply by adding a supercharger.  It seems your video somewhat supports that.

It was an another car thread as well, DejaVu, he pretty much told me I was full of it a couple of diff times as well.  I certainly hold no grudge, I like Laz, we're of similar minds on most of the issues on this board, I just wanted to post up a couple vids so that he'ld know what I was talking about.

As for "confirming" what can and can't be done with simple reworking and supercharging, why don't you have a look at what Fast Ford/Muscle Stang magazine ran with the latest Cobra mustang.  It's factory charged, NO stage anything kit, and ran a 10.5.  Sure a lot of things are different in that car than a stock 4.6+charger, but not THAT much different.

I also stated that the pre-mentioned mods would get you into the 11 second range, NOT the ten in that thread.  11.8's are ran every day here at the track by SS/Ram Air and Mustangs with not a lot more done to them than supercharging.

Anyhow, I was originaly replying to the first idiot in that thread who posted this:

I have a kid at work who bought a 5.0 mustang coup and thinks its a cobra. So hes taking off all the stuff on the body so people think its a cobra and he tryes to race everyone. My 68 falcon wooped his arse the first week he bought the car to work.

I have no respect for idiots who buy mustangs and Cammaros and think there hot sh{i}t becasuse of the name.

If you want a fast cammaro then buy a 69 cammaro.

Drag racers have very small noodlees.

Anyhow, as I said before, in that thread Laz and I were in agreement after I clarrified :

gman... those numbers sound about right. Certainly a far cry from 10 sec ss's tho... yeah the 5.0 class got way crazy.. can't believe the times those guys are running with drag radials.. even my chp car ran high 13's..

I just wanted him to see the video so he didn't think I was a crackpot, and it was fun finally figuring out how to upload them onto the web.

I'll put up some service rifle/sniper competition vids I have today which should be good for a laugh at all the guys who said hitting  a figure 11 torso target at 500 meters with my M4 was IMPOSSIBLE.

You called lazs out on something he didn't really dispute other than to clarify that adding a supercharger to a car does not a 10 second 1/4 make.  Pump enough nitrous in and you'll get there.

And... you may want to make it a little clearer who that first quote was from (give credit where credit is due).

As far as Ford Mustang muscle goes... well... I've known quite a few mustang owners... all of them would swear they did a 10 second quarter mile the weekend before.  Hell, give a guy a 12 pack of coors and a J.C. Whitney... and he'll also "prove" you right.

Nitrous is an "on demand" thing.  You wouldn't need a 1000 gallon tank to drive the car cross-country as long as you don't hit the go button.

I didn't call Laz out, rather the reverse, I wanted him to know that I wasn't pulling his chain at all as I respect his opinion.

Ok, I guess the word of one of the most reputable car magazines in the world shouldn't be taken as fact.

Also, Mini D, I assume you are Deja Vu from what I read in another post.  Is this correct?  If so, since you seem to be so good at looking up past posts, could you please find the ones about shooting where I participated, particularly where people were saying hitting at 600 yards with 5.56 rifles was barely possible.  I have some nice video uploaded showing me going 24 for 25 with 4x's at that range on a military figure 11.

Thanks,

Gman

Gman... you've resorted to calling a magazine that caters to an individual sect "reputable"... no... "one of the most reputable in the world."  Sorry, but when you aim for a specific customer, you publish specific information.

As for the guns... I wonder why you'd bring that up?  I don't think I argued the point with you... and I don't believe lazs argued the point with you.  You really aren't trying to say "well I was right about that".... are you?
