There are more threats to the stability of the world than just those on Dubyas hit list.

One major threat is our failing economy and a President whos arrogance is isolating the US from it's friends more and more as time goes on.

Before ya Reps get your < pink > panties in a wad, I support the need for action against Iraq. However, if that action is taken w/o regard for our status in the eyes of the world then the terrorists have already won a major skirmish. Uniting the world against the US is part of their twisted goal. Failing to see that point IMO the major flaw in this administration.

So, just who would I want to pin up against a fence? Let's just say that if I were given the oportunity, no silverspoon nor family privledge would stop me from tweaking Dubya's Air Guard scamimg nose...but for reasons more personal than possible war or economic meltdown. Being AWOL when draftees were dieing in rice paddies is inexcusable and will always stick in my craw.

And Yes, I'd feel much better...as long there's a guarentee that Mr. Cheny isn't given the reins to this country.

Well fist things first.

At this point I would say our biggest threat is in the following order:

The Press and the Protestors Thanks to these idiots and protesting in the manor they did and the press beafing it up to make a buck or get extra point on the media ranking system. Has placed Saddam on the level of SAINT.  The thing about the protestors is that A: they just put Saddam on a pedistal
B: Live in a fantasy world of Peace and Love but fail to grip the concept that let say 10,000 Americans, or British, or whoever died in a terrorist attack by a Middle East country. They would celbrate and say God willed it.  THe protestors FAIL to grasp the concept that unless you illeminate GOVERNMENT and RELIGION, you will never have FOREVER LOVE and PEACE through out the world.  Go take a Sociology or Psychology or even a Philosphy class that focus on human interaction and Governement and Religion.

BUSH I am American to the core, everyone in my family has served, Except me, got rejected when they found out my wife to be father was a admiral level in the the SOviet Navy.  I still do what I can to support the USA and the Military through volunteer work.  With this said, Bush is starting to scare me.  ANybody with their eyes not covered up can see that Bush is on a HOLY CRUCADE, keeps bringing in Religion and GOd and destroy the EVIL.  DOES the Crusades Mediavel era come to mind.  GO read some history and you will see a lot of similarities between the Kings and leadera of the ealy Crusades and Bush.

Breakup of the NATO community Right know the terrorist group, AL quadid are rejoicing at the conflict that has occured at the UN level.  This is what they want.  The people in the UN need to grow up, sit down, act rational and realise this.  Plus just think about it,  if a rift occurs in NATO security council, think of the problems that will occur down the road.  I don't want to think about it.

Saddam He still scares me but not that much, right now after the protest. Again thanks to the PRESS and the Protestors. Have created a cold war.. a stalemate.  If the US goes to war, the US is the bad and the US public will not stand for it and BUSH will be kicked out.  Americans are cocky and don't like to be looked at as the bad guy but as the Knight in SIlver armor.  If any TERRORIST attack occurs against the US or British ..mainly those two. It validates the war EVEN...repeat EVEN if Saddam has ZERO involvment.  Innocent people will be killed over it. THink about it.

As for beeing American my self, after going through my wife's swearing in as a citizen and realizing what she was giving up. I realized how badly I have taken my own citizenship for granted.  It is to hard to explain it but after I watched the swearing in, it made me think hard of what it is to be a US Citizen.  Freedom is not FREE, just because you live in the US doesn't mean you don't have any responsibility.  That was peeves me the most about a lot of PEACE and LOVE protestors, and Activists that involve issues dealing with ones RIGHTS.  THe do not have a clue, majority, of what they are talking about.  ALl they see is their WANTS and supposidly the WANTS of the US people, the DO NOT see the responisbilities and requirements that is needed to BE a US citizen.  People died for what we have, hopefully you can see that through the green haze.  As for Vetenam, it was wrong but I am more ashamed of how the returneing soldiers were treated then the political BS that got us there in the first place.

I have been around large communities of Middle Eastern people and from what the tell, a 86 year old lady or a 10 year old would have no quirms about shooting a innocent American.  A majority of the people over there, NOT ALL, but a majority HATE us and seeing Americans get killed just makes them happy.  AND any supporters of the US.

I don't want us to go to war because I think we are going to war on minimal proof and since WHEN are we the POLICE of the world?  We fought to become Americans and to be free of other countries control and to have our rights..  NOW LOOK AT US.

I will fight to defend America for I believe in its core values, BUT I will not DIE for something that does not warrant it or by someone who is on a CRUSADE for God and Country and to RID the world of EVIL.

I voted for Bush because I thought he would do us good. SOmeone would finally put their foot down and show the world that the US is not taking BS from other countries anymore.  He restored the military and is putting money back into the space program.  HOWEVER he has ignored the economy and other issues.  this CRUSADE however, shows that he is more then a Patriot, gone beyond it and has fallen in the same boat as Middle East... religious fanatics.  GO back and read his speachs that involve Iraq and terrorist.  Its scary how he intertwines religion and war.

From what I've seen, the majority of the protestors aren't the typical peace and love types. Many simply don't believe Bush's motives and his cabinet hasn't done a good job "selling the war."

Much like Afghanistan, the evidence should be overwhelming. It is not.

Oh, I think the evidence is there. However, there are forces in play that simply deny any evidence presented. "I don't believe it". Well, there is nothing that would convince them because they aren't in to to be convinced.

Here, watch this:

Shopping with Saddam Hussein

Quote
By April 1995, Garbiyah was back in Moscow searching for more. In Zagorsk, a town near Moscow famous for its monastery and churches, he managed to buy 120 gyroscopes and accelerometers for long-range missiles. The seller was Niikhsm, a missile-dismantlement plant. Another Russian company, Mars Rotor, obligingly tested the instruments before they left the country. On July 15, 1995, Garbiyah shipped the components to Amman and on July 27 got them through to Baghdad.

It is unclear how many of these particular components the Iraqis wound up with. After being tipped off by intelligence sources, the UN inspectors intercepted one of Garbiyah’s subsequent shipments in Jordan. They also pulled a number of guidance components from the Tigris river, where the Iraqis had thrown them to avoid detection. Again, the only thing we know for sure is that Russian firms were ready to sell missile parts in clear violation of the embargo.

:D

You wanna know who the real threat is? Orphans.

Do you ever wonder why orphans don't have parents? It's probably 'cause they killed and ate them! And don't get me started on those beady little eyes of theirs. Little bastards would as soon as bite your ankles as give you a smile.

Mark my words, the orphans are the real threat.
