I saw a movie called "Ghengis Khan and His Mongol Hordes" when I was a kid. In one part, on Ghengis's order, hundreds of his crazy mongols started kneeling down, then more got on top of them, and more still on top of them until they formed a human hill...

Then Ghengis rode his horse to the top of the hill while swigging from a goatskin liquor bag, and swinging his schmecter all over the place... when he got to the top, his horse reared up, and hundreds of thousands in the surrounding Mongol horde cheered him wildly... as far as the eye could see.

After that he went to his tent, (his horse got to go inside with him, but he chopped a mongols head off for coming inside without being asked). He was chawing on a leg of goat meat with his face all greasy, drinking, and laughing with all kinds of wenches laying around with him...

That was one cool movie!

Did you guys see that pbs show about the guy who traced DNA "genetic markers" around the world.

He showed the possibility of multiple migrations out of afrika to all over the world.

He found one guy, in one of those central ex Russian republics whos "genetic marker" supposedly showed he was the direct ancestor of a guy who was the great grandfather of almost all Europeans and Asians.

He did the samething by tracing Y-chromosomes and the identifying slight "mutations" that leave a "marker" and can then be traced back to a single point. The show seemed to make lots of "educated guesses" and I have read where others have had great doudt in the guys work but it was interesting anyway.
