Hades55,

This is a Video driver issue I would suggest trying the latest Certified driver for 2000 & that card.

Hades SP3 does nothing but damage to your W2k.

Did you make a complete format / reinstall or did you upgrade from WinMe? If you upgraded, it's possible that you have traces of Me drivers lying around that cause problems.

I would avoid SP3 as well.  It does nothing but add more XP code to 2K.

Chaps,

I have the exact same problem, as soon as I enter the game I get massive screen corruption.  Interestingly I have a similar card to Hade555, maybe this is the problem?

System Specs:

AMD Athlon XP 2200
Win2k Pro
Directx 9.0 <- Final Release Version
512MB DDR Ram
Geforce 4MX 4400 <- I know I got boned on the vid card :p
Detonator 30.82 Drivers

If you need any further details of my system spec I should be able to post these on sunday.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions you guys can make.

If not SP3 than you need SP2 do a search on the boards.  Sorry Skuzzy gotta disagree with you on this...  But I've never had a problem with SP3 on w2k pro.  I'd like to hear why you don't think it's a good idea for a home user?Install SP2

Upgrade to SP3, it will repeat will fix the problem and it doesn't degrade Win2k at all.

Hi,
I had this same problem on win2kpro with sp3 installed. I think (if I remember) that I installed directx 9 after the video drivers, which was wrong and so reinstalled directx after the latest nvidia drivers. Maybe worth a try, good luck with it
