On a game play level i dont understand why, with every upgrade, more and more reasons are given to hug ack. First is my biggiest complaint. The captured rule. It gives nothing to the guy that shot you. It just screws you out of points. Next we are gonna have more and better ack. And a hot refuel/ammo runway. Yet another reason to hug.

It has been pointed out, more than once, that the game is a little slow in comparison to others. IMO. This can only slow it down further. I understand the need to keep the vulching down. But this is starting to swing the balance way to far the other way.

How about a zone between base,s where the points have a multiplyer if you get a kill.

Since I'm a ack-hugger, I appriciate the new updates.

Stronger ack to keep away those brave pilots who will face ack to get a kill.  This will possibly help me get kills if the brave pilot gets shot down.  And I'll get the points!

Ya see, I need every advantage I can get due to my flying sucks!!

Rock:  Ya see that Ensign, lighting the cigarette?
Powell: Yes Rock.
Rock: Well that's where I got it, he's my son.
Powell: Really Rock, well I'd like to meet him.
Rock:  No ya wouldn't.

I've found that the best way to avoid enemy ack huggers is to stay away from their base.

It's not all that easy to kill ack huggers. Yes it sure more challanging to kill them, but it's more fun too. Remember you always above them and a lot of the time, ack huggers won't have enough alt to split s. This leaves them in horizontal manuavering. Seddle up high on their 6 with a bit of horizontal separation. Now dive. When diving do small alternations in your flight by moving elevator up and down. Since bogey will most likely brake flat right or left, you'll be also correcting your flight path to stay with him. All this makes ack less accurate. Give yourself as little time of straight flying as possible when you enter gun range (400 or less for me). During egress I usually don't push my plane right away back in vertical, but will try first to give myself horizontal separation from acks, then work back altitude.
Also remmeber, ack hugger constantly moves around the field. Do not attack when he's flying towards the center of the field, get your timing right so when you attack him, he'll be as far from the edge of the field as possible. I do not attack targets that are in the middle of the field, amount of tracers around is just to much for me to handle
I hate ack huggers, but I love killling them. And I always make sure I get full credit kill for them. If I see guy taking damage from me and then trying to ditch on the field, I follow him in. I might die, but not before I get that heart warming "Kill x awarded to mx22 of 308 Squadron"

Just my 2c on the topic

whilst i agree ack hugging is irratateing its the only defence a slow climbing defender has.i think ack is just right at the moment so lets not go back to the laser ack days

Ohh thought of something else too...

Ack gunners during ww2 were quiet trigger happy with a lot of friendlies diying due to freidnly fire. Why don't AH model that factor in?
I'm not saying ack should have same probablity of hitting friendly as with hitting enemy, but I think after ack hugger gets shot down couple of times by the ack he tried to safe himself with, he will rethink the strategy.
Also awarding kills for kills by acks should go away.

Whoa! Whoa!!  I do not have time or am I smart enough to re-think my stragey!

Ack Huggin happens to be a favorite pastime of mine!  If this area of the game is, shall we say, nullified, I'm gona have to do something different!

Don't take this away from me!!  Please!!

It's all I got!!

Some of the best kills are made in the lead canopy above an NME field. I say let people hug the ack if they want, just don't make the ack so accurate we can't kill em.

If you plan your egress and wait for the perfect time, it's pretty easy to pick off huggers.  And there's always the option of killing the ack.
