Didn't fly Nice at all in May '97.

Flew JFK-NCE on 2 Jun, return on 4 June.

You missed your chance to say "I knew him when....."

Sorry, mate.

Sikboy...in case you are wondering about the whole thing..I "think" Beet1e had asked Toad if he was ever the pilot on the Nice to New York run in May 1997, as he would have been a passenger.  Toad had to go check his logs...which he clearly has done now....and the answer is that Beetl1e was NOT a passenger of the smooth flying pile-it we know as Toad.

I think if he was he would have compalined about the landing, or something of the sort, in jest.

Am I right Toad?

Doh! :(  Oh well, it was a long shot.

I remember the trip well. Went to Shea Stadium to see the Mets beat the Marlins 6-0. Marlins did bugger all in the game I saw, and yet went on to win the World Series.

That trip involved my first and only trip on Toad-Airways. It was a good service. I remember thinking that it catered to an older generation, and indeed most of the passengers were elderly French nationals. There were no Virgin-style amenity kits or safety announcements featuring the dulcet tones of Helen Mirren or Susannah York, no in-seat video games or individual movie choices. I didn't care about any of that. I was happy to receive a resonable meal, a smooth flight, and no squawking brats kicking the back of my seat. Would have preferred to have flown into EWR (Newark) but hey - you can't have everything.
