It's true...and frigging ridiculous.

My opinion is that the tourism department has overspent on lavish parties, travel and other self-serving events...and that there wasn't enough left over to do a proper job...so they used file photos from other places.  

It is the most pathetic example of our toejamty labour government mismanaging money.

We don't need photos from other counries...it is unique and beautiful here.  Our tourism minister deserves a serious tolchocking.

I am very embarassed by it all...and thanks Animal for bringing it up.:p

I've been to Bermuda in 80 and 81 for some really fantastic port calls.  Pictures can't fully describe the beauty of that island.

Thanks man...can you believe this BS about using pictures from other places?  It just doesn't make sense.

Were you in the Navy, or were you just cruising?  

When we had the US Navy base here sailors in the US Navy would fall all over each other to get stationed here.  This was not only due to the fact that they would be in Bermuda for a "tour" but also because it was apparently considered sea duty.

I had some really good friends who were in a sub hunter squad.  We used to head to the base and eat the most amazing steaks from the PX there...and the beer was dirt cheap.  These guys had a kiddie swimming pool they would fill with ice and we would sit on the base's beaches and get hammered.  Great fun, great guys.
