Need some help finding a book on F4C Phantom II's
« on: March 05, 2003, 12:09:53 AM »
I know this is not the Viet Nam aircraft game but I need some help. I had a Squadron/Signal book that was either a "Walk Around" or "In Action" of the F4C Phantom II. Well since I have moved I can not locate this book and need it for some stuff I am working on. Does any one have this book and can they give me exact information on the title so I can purchase it?

Thanks!

If you want a good book to get on the F-4, I would suggest this one.  There is a newer version of it out that is a bit more comprehensive, but it is probably the most authoratative book on the Phantom I have seen.  It covers all the variants.

As far as the "Walkaround" and "In Action" books, as far as I know, they are out of print.  The best place to look for them might be a hobby shop.

Although based in the UK, Midland Counties have a huge collection of new and used books.  Try them at http://www.ianallansuperstore.com/cgi-bin/index.cgi

For the "In Action" and "Walkaround" books, you can find many of them at http://www.squadron.com  I've bought from them a couple of times, and they've been responsive and prompt.

Another excellent series of books of the same genre, is the "Detail and Scale" series.  Again very informative.
