Man you guys are killing me !
It's a strange spring here this year.  Light snow again today.

Looks like I'm going to have to take a vaca...like to a warm ocean.  I love the ski season here but enough is enough!!! :

Wolfie, I was thinking of you today. Me and my two boys got the old boat out for the first time this year. Cranked right up! (after charging the battery, repairing a huge crack in a header cooling line, airing up 2 flat trailer tires, setting the timing, and buying $30 worth of gas). Oh yes!, nothing to it!

Anyways, we felt all guilty about your snowstorm, so we took a couple pics to try and cheer you up...

Run water injection on the Elco's Packards and it'd give the wimpy jet boat a run for it's money.

Oh btw I just dewinterized my boat a few weeks ago...started right up! (after looking 2 hours for the key, draining the anti-freeze, searching another hour or so for the water hose adapter, nearly burning my hand and catching the boat on fire in the process when the soda can full of gas I was using for a carb primer caught on fire when the boat backfired...I did a perfect LVT disembarkment! 6 foot belly flop off the boat railing right onto the ground)

roflmao Jigster!!

Here's a good river tale..

We used to have an apollo jet, it was a piece of crap, but looked good, would only run about 55mph. I took my high school buddies for a spin in it one day, cruising down the river, being cool and all. 454 cheverolet singin its song out back.
All of a sudden, I hear this gawawful shrieking sound from out back, then black smoke is billowing from the engine compartment!

FiIiRee!

What do my tried and true high school buddies do? Well, not only did they dive outa the boat, they actually swam away, so I jump to the back of the boat, (step on a RED hot wire) which was the cause of the whole freegin scare to start with. So, I start yankin cables loose from the battery. Got the suspect wire loose, got the fire out, did some world class rigging, and we were back in bizness.

And, yeah, I let my chums back in the boat.

BTW, that boat in the picture is a vee drive

(Sorry for the semi-hijack wlfie)

actually, I love it here in Colorado.  This hasn't happened since 1983 and I'm freakin glad it's over !

Thank God spring is finally here !!!
the (damn) snow has melted and life is good.
No more shoveling, etc.

The 70's - 80's are back!  whew...
guess I can finally put away the skis and break out the bike

BTW.. all you bastiges that have had warm sunny weather all spring... hope you get sunburned !!  hehe (jk)

Hmmm, here in Oregon we probably won't have enough water in any of the nearby lakes this year for taking the boat out.

(Any chance you guys can send some water over to the NW?   )
