Alpha Testers

I keep seeing the Alpha Testers Form, and wish I could see what was being discussed, but then I know there are probably very good reasons why it is locked.

My biggest curiosity is who the Alphas are? Are they people I know from WB? And how the heck did they get the opportunity?

Logically they would be people that the HTC crew know and trust. I am sure they were hand-picked, and are the best people for the job. If my assumptions are correct they will be either long-time AW or WBs players, most likely both.

Whomever was chosen will be doing a LOT of hard work. As a BETA tester for that 'other' game, I can assure you that it is more work than play. Of course it is the kind of work we would all love to do hehehehehehe.

Val,

I know more than I need to about Alpha/Beta testing.    Comes from being a developer and  having to get code out before I'm satisified with it, more often than not simply to keep up with the project plan that was developed by someone who has never written a line of code in their life.

As for the other sim, I did the open beta for almost a year and once I found where to send exceptions to I did.

After four years of online simming I find it frustrating that it's still a very exclusive club.

Oh well, September isn't that far away now

In order to expand the market, my understanding is that most of the alpha testers were recruited from online bingo games. <G>

While having nothing to do with Ace's High at this point in the past 4 years I have found getting into Beta's and focus groups rather easy.

I got into the DaggerFall focus group Via a Compuserve forum, Grand Prix II early release feed back release via another CK/WB player and some of the WB Beta by being a CM for WB.

All you gotta do is be at the right place all the time and act like you know what your doing and those in charge will notice.
