Sigh................
« on: March 08, 2003, 11:43:17 PM »
Okay, so what has happened to folks desire to fight, nowadays?
I logged in the first time, flew the F4F, got myself quite a few kills, averaged about 3 kills per sortie.  Fought several times with me alone, or maybe one other guy against 3 and 4 Zekes.  Even outnumbered, it was fun.
Switched sides when some tardletts kept ferrying Ki61's to the front lines after brady said they were disabled, to make sure none of the bases had them.
Logged back in about an hour later......sides are still even......"Guess I'll stay IJN and fly a Zeke awhile."
Joe Foss would have grounded the pilots flying Allied tonight on grounds on cowardice in the face of the enemy.
Unless they had overwhelming odds in their favor, my esteemed opponents refused to fight.  The guys who reskin the planes might think about adding a big yellow stripe along the spine of the P-40's and F4F's.......maybe even paint the whole tail yellow?:D;)
Ever get sick of having to fly a whole sector to find a fight, only to find the enemy will not engage?  Then don't log in this evening.  Be it their field acks, their fleet acks, or a swarm of their buddies, the guys I encountered this evening did anything but fight.
I log into any of the arenas looking to mix it up.  Win or lose, I really don't care.  I just want to have some fun, furrball a bit, then log off.
Yeah, this can be logged in as an official whine.  It's been a long time since I did whine, but dang guys!  Are you so score conscious that the very idea of losing a fight keeps you near your bases?
The CT used to be somewhere I could log into when I got sick of the MA behavior.
Tonight was even worse than anything I have ever experienced.
Guess from now on I'll have to check the roster to see who is playing there before I decide whether or not it is worth my time to stay in there.  :(

pac setups are always this way.

people think split esse and run to ack is acm.

These setups are a complete bore.

BoB is pretty much the same, flying LW 95% of the time i have to fly across the channel, chase some to acks, get ganged, re-up and repeat.

actually it's becoming more common in almost every setup.

Surrounded by suck and underwhelmed with mediocrity.
I'm always right, it just takes some poepl longer to come to that realization than others.
I'm not perfect, but I am closer to it than you are.

I was one of the "tardletts" in the KI-61.  But I did report the availability of them when I found out the japs weren't sposed to use 'em. :o   And I did go to the A6m2...

Does that make me a half-tardlett? :(

We need to turn down effectiveness of ack.  That's the only thing that will keep these guys from running to base as an out every time they get in a little trouble.

Well, Haven, you did stick to the A6M's after that, and you did take the fight to the enemy, so..........guess you fall in the same category as me.  Just a tard.
:D :p
!!
I posted that right after I logged out in frustration last night.  Maybe today I will find more aggressive pilots in the CT.  Who knows?  :)
