325th FG "Checkertails"

Gentlemen,

The Checkertails are going through some roster changes at the moment. As you have already noticed Lowejg and Jester (AKA Andi) have started a new LW squad. A few other checkertails have also transfered to the "Dark Side".

The Checkertails will continue to be a "Historic-Type" P-51 and P-47 group when these aircraft are available. The Checkertails are an MTO group so during PTO we will fly either the P-40 or other fighters compatable with the IJN/A aircraft available. During ETO we will fly allied, again P-40s, P-47s and/or P-51s when available.

During squad nights, tue and thur at 10pm est, we will fly a planed mission escorting bombers, straffing targets and/or attacking bases. We will also, if invited, particpate in intercepting and dogfighting with LW squad, JG3.

We will not be "furballing" during squad times.

Hiya Grunz...no thats not mine. That is the prototype designed and built by the late Don Saucer. It is now in the March Airforce Museum.

There are a few being built that are almost completed.

I was talking to Brady last night and he had mentioned that a Po Valley map was in the works.  I am just adding this reply to see if I can get the guys that are making it to contact me to see about if we could get them to insert a Checkertail skin.
