actually it looks more like
1942 plane built...thx to zingzango for the rice paper
1943 rice paper due to be replaced
1944 rrice paper replaced, warranty runs out
1945 plane will self destruct at midnight june 2 1945
its a diary of the planes past and future
or possibly
something to the effect of

It tells the type, date of manufacture, who built it, it's serial number and various other info.
