Dowding, I agree with that 101%. NB - this was the Sunday Mirror, but the same thing applies.
However, based on what Monk said of his experiences in Iraq during the first phase of this war in 1991, it is entirely believable. That's why I believe that the forthcoming second phase of this war (2003) will be over very quickly, with minimal loss of life. I do not see "millions of dead Iraqis" - except those killed by Saddam. Instead, I see millions of happy, smiling Iraqi faces in the days after Saddam is toppled. That's why I'm one of the 15% of people in the UK who feel that the war should go ahead, with or without UN mandate. Wince, suck through your teeth/whatever: I personally believe that the special relationship between Britain and the US is more important than an ailing UN - another light that failed, as GB1 called it.
