Germany Bf 109's in Finnish winter

Messerschmitt Bf 109 G6/R6 of I/JG 302, "red 29" night fighter at Malmi on 28 February 1944. In the course of the month twelwe aircraft of the Gruppe arrived to Helsinki to repell Soviet night bombing.

The planes belonged to the 1st Staffel although carrying colours of the 2nd one.

And here's maybe the worlds ugliest winter camouflage!:D

This is Bf 109 F4 of a 8/JG 5 "black 4" (it is now "black 8", because HTC's 109 F4 has mirrored fuselage and number 4 is not nice looking upside down...). In the photo it is flipped over at Petsamo on 21 March 1943. The pilot was Ofw. Karl Schulz.
