I've read, and re-read this over the weekend.

I don't think it's going to be for me.

The thing that makes Flight Sim MMOGs for me is - You Guys!

I really enjoy the squad based play, the unhistorical aircraft match-ups answer a lot of questions about the overall effectiveness of a particular aircraft in general, and most of all the 2 Squads I've belonged to in the last 5 years have made this genre the only "game" I give a rat's banana about.

I don't think AHII is going to create the same sense of camaraderie, and quite frankly the concept is going to appeal to the "anoraks" amongst us.

I hope AH - Classic is developed in parallel with TOD and not eventually quietly "disappeared" like a '70s Argentinian political agitator.

palef - AH classic uses the same engine as ToD - namely AHII.

Think of it as a patch that changes the engine but keeps the existing arenas. ToD is a new arena(s) in addition to the MA, that's all. It will have different goals and features, that's all.
