For what its worth your boys in Saudi got killed because they stayed overly long in terms of lighting and visibility because they felt the grunts in Al Khafji needed all the help they could get because they were 5 on 1 against the bad guys. Ive seen reports that seem to make it appear as if that specter 'just crashed'. Talking to a former 'coworker' who was in planning over there they stayed late to help the guys on the ground and were spotted visually by some badguy with a shoulder launched SAM. Had to have been a unbelieveably lucky shot. But it wasnt 'just a crash', they were putting it on the line like the heroes they were. I heard about voss hinds from the usenet when i was first exploring jet fighter sims on my sons computer. Pissed me off alot. My son played airwarrior a little. He plays aceshigh a little. My GRANDSON plays it with him some. Im pretty computer illiterate and very internet illiterate. I see people talk about the community of airwarrior and aceshigh and these other games online. I wondered why a community would not have a problem with a blatant liar that had played them for fools before. But it looks like most dont care. Now on the usenet with the whole TAS deal alot of people appeared to care. You guys dont particularly care but i know you dont think too highly of voss. Do me a favor and clue me in guys. We have similar backgrounds and probably similar values. Am i just too f*cking old and do i take it too seriously. If the default attitude that everyone in online community is a joke unless proven otherwise so you dont take anyone or anything seriously in general? In the real world you dont socialize with liars and scum etc if you have a choice. At what point do you put a worthless POS in his place in an online community? The LAST thing I want is my grandson listening to the talk of some psychotic liar and thinking he has anything in common with grandpa. I could very well be paranoid, like the people who see the news on tv and think everyone on the internet is out to pick up little girls. Different offense here, but same principle if you know what i mean. Set me straight. Sorry to tell you guys that i probably wont be returning to aceshigh after my 2 months of mandatory DO NOT SUCK offline training, the overall quality of the party is not to my liking. But i still really really want to hear your opinions.
