YESYESYESYESYES!!!!

Somebody at HTC likes the H8K and has the same opinion of it that I do.

Please, please let it be in 1.07!!!!!

EDIT:
Oh, yeah, one more thing.  The "Emily" would probably replace the Lancaster as the toughest aircraft in AH.

I-15?  That was a bi-plane, and the I-153 was the updated version.  If they do that we need it in Spanish Republican Markings, and put the 109B in Spanish Fascist Markings (Perhaps Werner Molders B.)

The I-16 Type 24 with 4 X 20MM cannon, even the Japanese had trouble turn fighting it.

All engine, all torque, manually retractable landing gear (read that as Hand Crank.)
I guess the Russians used to ram them into German Bombers, supposedly a tough little plane, just low altitude and slow.

Personally I will let my sig speak for itself.

Looks to me like some of you guys have death wishes!  The Brewster Buffalo for cryin' out loud?!! What kind of masochistic freaks are you anyway?  You'd be toast before you even started the engine.  And some of those early Russian planes fall into that same category.

Face it, until we get either a rolling plane set like in WB's or there's a dedicated historical scenario where it makes sense, very few people will fly those early obsolete airplanes. Just look at what most people are flying now. The faster airplanes with the most firepower.  Personally, I liked the rolling plane set because it made you learn to fly the other airplanes you wouldn't normally and you could appreciate how the air war was fought early.

I admit the Me163 would be a kick.  It's such a unique airplane unto it's own.  I like the idea of specified operational bases, especially near the HQ where you could launch and be at 30k in about 2 minutes.

Frankly, I personally don't think we need MORE variants of some of these airplanes (the P47 and ME109 and FW190 just to name a few). Let's get more variety instead and add some different airplanes that might have a unique advantage under certain missions.

Looking at some of the other threads I'm gonna add the Ki-84.  That was a kick bellybutton airplane in WBs.  Fast and maneuverable with some punch.

If we get the me-163 and the UT variant of the Yak9, I will be set for life.

As for the early war planes, I'd like to see more of them.  Sure, they wouldn't be common rides, but they'd be a fun challenge in the MA, and (more importantly) they could be used to great extent for historic scenarios.

I'd personally love to see the Hurricane MkIIB with the 12(!) .303s, the MkIIC with the 4 hispanos, and best of all, the MkIID with the 2 40mm Vickers cannons for tank-busting.

Emily would be quite the interesting thing...was it amphibious?

still chanting, and using the crystals for:

 Beaufighter Mk21 (RAAF)
 P-40 (14 Sqd RNZAF)
Mossie FB VI  (487 RNZAF,464 RAAF Sqds)

 if we're going flying boats...

Go ahead and model the Me163. 5 min max burn (no throttle), 11,000 ft/min climb rate, 600mph, try and hit anything with it at those speeds.

Well, its hardly a surprise that folks dont go and strap on a Seafire when the rest of the arena is up in P51Ds, F4U-1Cs and 190D-9s is it? No, nobody is goin to fly those in numbers without a rolling set, or in an event setting.

As for "obsolete" planes, well, what was top of the line in 1940 was obsolete in 1945, true. That doesnt mean the Battle of Britain would be a dull Scenario though? Far from it.

Lots of air combat took place before April 1945. My point, maybe focus on something other than jets?
