Exiting to desktop... Out of ideas

Hey guys. I stoped playin AH for a bit and just picked it up again, after downloading the update i have had nothin but probs and am running out of ideas as to what is causing it to exit like this.

So far i have a fresh install on Win2k, with SP2 installed.
Updated DirectX to 9 (i know 9 has had some probs but, whatever)
Updated the normal drivers(video, sound, mobo ect)

I tried reverting back to older Detonator drivers but that didnt help at all. As with updating the sound and mobo drivers. I saw a recent post someone mentioned deleting the Squad graphics file, Didnt work.

I dunno what else to do. Any Idea's?

Does your vid card support Directx 9? If it doens'nt that could probably cause some problems.

Acually i figured out the problem after a week of troupleshooting.

On my Abit NF7-S mobo you can't install the board drivers without installin the onboard audio drivers, i never use onboard audio so i disabled it, well a NVIDIA audio HQ style program was starting up with windows as a service i didnt catch. I deleted the startup EXE and disabled the service so that seemed to fix the problem. Played for around 6 hour yesterday.
