i'm really confused, the USA is still using C-47's and launching them from "ships offshore"?

and "helo" means high altitude/low opening (sky diving) not what the C47 is really good at , why didn't you use C130's ?

and helo ops are special ops used for small sneak attacks, why would you be flying "helo support" when there was no fighting going on ?

Sanctions are working? How?  If they are working so well why have they been in place for 12 years?

So the Iraqi people have to take on Saddam's machinery of torture and oppression by themselves?  Is that a fair fight?  I guess the French fleet and troops that helped America win independence were either mistaken or unsporting; or were they possibly acting in France's interests, just as we are about to act in the interest of the United States and other peace- and freedom-loving nations of the world.

Respect? LOL. How about Fear instead. There is a big difference between the two.

btw, I dont feel all that much need to have Saddam's apologists respect the US.  They have shown a lack of judgement that has discredited them before the reasonable parts of the world.  When the evidence of their dirty dealings is exposed, the world will know the reason why.

john9001,
You do mean "HALO" not "HELO," no?

I don't have a problem if an invading rock throwers get shot at. Thrown rocks and bottles are weapons in my book.
