Aces High Vs WWII Online

Before I learned about the existence of World War II Online, Aces High was the game I was waiting for - I am not so sure about that now. What advantages does Aces High have over World War II Online?

Well for one thing we ve seen more of AH so far. All I saw from Playnet on the web were a couple of screen shots (which looked very promising) involving a Spitfire. Their web-page is just a collection of links so far...pretty dissapointing (the web-page that is).
Also there's no BB to discuss WW2 online with the community/developers so far, I think the way HTC handle it is pretty good: Keep the crowd updated (sort of) and draw suggestions and ideas (the good ones) from that big world wide brainstorming on their BB.

From what I hear about WW2 online it could be a great game, but we shouldn t discuss other products here, HT and Pyro prolly wouldn t like it.

I know that I ll have a hard time deciding which of the three sims (WB, WW2 online or AH) to give my full attention.. More than one would be too expensive and distractive for me I guess. But I also think that it's way too early to compare the products: WB is the only one that's finished and it has been around for quite some time, so it wouldn t be exactly fair to start comparing right now. Wait until the betas are out, give the new sims a try while they re still free and then decide/compare. That's what I m gonna do.

Well...ww2 online supports mac, as I understand it this sim doesn't? <new here just found this board  > Other than  that I think it will be a wait and see situation. WW2 sounds good, almost too good. Personally I cant wait to  get my hands on either!!

WWII Onlne sounds great... almost too great as Rosco pointed out. Too great means that it will take forever if ever to get the whole concept working properly.

As AH is not as revolutionary as WWII online I think it will *much* readier when it comes out. I'm looking forward to both of the games. Also I fear that WWII online will be more shoot 'em up like than a simulation... we'll see, it just seems too big.

AH's advantage will probably be... smaller but more intense, more realistic and easier to develop further in the future.

True, an unfortunate decision on HTC's part, believe me.

I'm going to close this thread because this is not the place to discuss other games, especially in this context.  The question posed won't really be answerable until the products are released.  At that point it really doesn't matter what anybody else thinks or what the talk has been, you'll decide for yourself what you like.
