Saddam, of course.

Oh, it was one of my little mind or word games. I love them dearly. Blur's initial post was deliberately ambiguous and I thought I'd add some of my own. :D

Blur is far too entertaining to kill, and he is a counterweight to the extreme rightists in here. Bush is a democratically elected leader and while I personally don't think he has the right mindset to lead, I give him the benefit of the doubt with regards to his mmoral character and therefore while I may disagree with him, I believe he has a good set of personal morals.

Heheh, not the first time my mind gets me into trouble because of my need to play with words and insinuations.  :)

Is it possible to be a rightist without also being extreme?

Ripsnort:

Ah, sorry for causing you problems. If it is worth anything, I am totally with my governments position. DK has made a (small) contribution to the war effort by sending a submarine and some other personell. Our fighters are still in Afghanistan. Our prime minnister was attacked by a socialist who threw red paint over him (blood on hands). The guy was let into the building by a parliament member from Enhedslisten (communists) who condoned the attack and now risks expulsion (YAY!)  So the support has a politcal cost, he might lose next election, but I support him wholeheartedly, now that the war has started.

Just hope Bush proves to have the morals needed, and he said he would not support nation building before. Now he will have Iraq as well as Afghanistan. MY hopes are that he will do the right thhing, which will cost you Americans money, but who knows?

FD SKI; says private messaging is disabled? Haven't received anything :/. My email is: stclaus@stofanet.dk if ya need it :).

ra: aye, that is possible. I'd describe you as one of the non extreme rightists. I disagree with you from time to time, I agree with you a bit more often, but yer not one of the 'Clinton caused the plague in Europe hundreds of years ago' people :).

This might surprise you, but I'm not even for killing Saddam, not just yet....bring him to a world court alive, try him for the sadistic things he's done to his people. Then hang him or turn him over to the mothers that were raped by his goons...make an example out of him as we did with Goering and the other Nazi's( even though Goering couldn't even take it like a real man, had to off his own ugly ass)

Thanks for the kind words Santa, but I wasn't taking it personally.  It's just that here in the US the neutral press never use the phrase 'right wing' without attaching things like 'extreme', 'ultra', or 'far' to it.  I was wondering if it was the same over there.

And thanks for the tip about Clinton and the plague, I had no idea he was involved in that, too.  Doesn't suprise me though.

No need to kill him, he has brought it upon himself already.

Oh ra, there is very much a tendency for that here. if yer to the right, yer basically someone who's against immigrants and refugees; a semi neo nazi and staunch nationalist.

We unfortunately have a party that got lots of votes last election and is in colation with the other non socialist parties (one being centrist and the other, which I voted for, being conservative), and that party is anti immigration and has come with ludicrious suggestions and comments like 'this is a war between Islam and Christianity'. Even posted ALL the names of new immigrants coming to DK in the election year in one of our biggest news papers. So you get guilt by association thansk to these mindless motherf*ckers. But yer absolutely right; if you're on the right you are looked as a bigot, if you're on the left you're looked upon someone who cares for the poor and weak.

Socialists try to portray themselves as primarily being concerned about others. But when it come down to it, it is clear that THEY themselves benefit from their suggestions of redistribution of wealth; the benefit directly from the govt subsidies for people with kids; they benefit from early retirement programs created when there were few dependents and many tax payers.

The main problem for European liberals (which is the opposite of American liberals for funny historical reasons) and people on the right in general is that from a PR point of view, we're handicapped, as socialists will always pull the 'we defend the weak, you try to line the pocket of the rich' argument, utterly ignoring that liberalism is about personal responsibility, reward and liberty; something socialists place at a much lower priority level.

As I said in another thread (have you ever changed yer mind because of discussions here or something thread), I have done that. I disagree violently with many republicans here, but also with many democrats. However, I've gone from being a left leaning pseudo-liberal to being a pure liberal, much closer to miko2d's stance than say karnak's. And I respect both.

Less govt is better. Period.
