WOOOHOOO!!!!

When I tried to find any info about Slade on the Net a few years ago I found out that 90% of the resourses are Russian.

They are extremely popular here among people who are 25 and above.

I am still into the late-60s/early-70s music. I am only 29, but it was the music that our elder brothers listened to, and we (the sane people :)) prefered old Rock to castrated disco of the 80s.

On April, 19th, I was at the Deep Purple concert. 25000 people!!! They lost Jon Lord :( and picked a 'wooddonut' from Rainbow as an organist, but they still ROCK!!! They even played Child in Time!!!  I will go to their concerts even if they'll come on stage in wheelchairs.

BTW, I have a few dozen DP bootlegs in reach, and one comlete DivX video from 1972. Drop me a line if you are interested ;)

Unfortunately I heard one "Slade-II" album, and it was extremely bad :( So, when they came to Moscow without Holder and Lee - I didn't even bother to go to their show :(

Can't fault your taste in music Boroda. In fact, the last great rock and roll was created prior to 1980, and I'm allowing a 5 year fudge factor. I was gonna say 1975, but I may be wrong about some dates.

I'll say - from 1966 ("Revolver", early Hendrix, "Freak Out!" and Floyd) to 1973 ("HotH" by LZ, "Imagine", "Who Do We Think We Are" by DP and many others).

Later - only some fluctuations that I like: Dire Straits, U2, early REM. And most of the underground Soviet rock from the 80-s.

or "I want to break free" Remember the video? :D
Honestly, Queen had many superb hits. At the "later age" I surprised myself of liking queen's songs more and more :)

But here is the real trivia:
Brian May and Eddie Van Halen, name the album :)

Hehe, Queen was the only "modern" band we listened to in 80s ;) My favs still are Sheer Heart Attack, Jazz and The Game.

Vector that would be "The Starfleet Project".  In Japan it is now available under "Resurrection."

Correct Mighty1. :)
Didn't know about the Japanese release. Is it remixed album or the original with the different name?

The Starfleet Project was the very first album (besides the Van Halen albums) for me from where I actually could heard the joy of playing via the speakers. They just went to studio and "let it roll!" and what an album it was! :)

Thanks for the link vector.I had looked at this one before but hadn't tried it.Until recently I didn't have a big enough HD to store many files.Been DL files all day. Still going to pick up the cd.

Boroda I did notice a lot of Russian sites in my searches.A lot of good sites also, and some with english versions also.

Also I didn't know there was much good rock made after 1979:p
A few exceptions yes.Dire Straits had some great lyrics on a couple of songs!
