Come on, Vulcan. The whole humanitarian thing is a political ploy. It was politically expedient to back Saddam in the 80's to reach strategic goals, allowing him to repress, murder and build WMD, and it's politically expedient to call this a moral war against a despotic dictator because he likes to repress, murder and build WMD.
Different strategic goals, same political reasoning.
I'm glad Saddam will be gone, but resent the constant course changes that have led to this situation.
