This a new term around our office

warporn noun:
Live newsfeed featuring "embedded" halfwit reporters, low light cameras, explosions and the gratuitous use of the the words "shock and awe".

As in:
"Is there anything new on TV tonight?"
"No, it's all warporn".

Drinking game: Drink every time they say "shock and awe"
Drink every time they show a stupid computer animation "baseball card" with stats on a particular weapon system.

shot of "embedded" reporter with well-styled hair.
any time the anchors refer to one side as "the good guys", or "us", or make similar comments one associates with midwestern baseball play-by-play.

Moralizing by anchormen.
Do a shot when Dan Rather cries. (He cried today. Per the onion, he's got at least one more good cry in him)

when they leave a remote reporter's mike open. (Dammit Youssuf! We can't say that!)
mention of "Precision Guided Munitions"
when some ridiculous claim is later rescinded
bad arabic translators
reporters squeaking about NBC gear (finish the bottle if they mention its interaction with makeup)
anything smoking
podium shots
failed remote handoffs (we're now going to the white house... now I'm being told we're not going to the white house)

something about saluting every time the "Patriot" missile was mentioned, etc? anyone recall this?
