Warning: Minor Arena / Bishop Flame OTW

How about a mission that isint a one way trip?

I and only a few others often post "standard package" missions, with historical bomber groups and their appropriate escorts. Rarely do people sign up, and often it's because these missions are not the alphabet soup variety, with every plane imaginable, with just enough fuel needed for a one way trip.

It's painfully obvious that one can run successful missions without the typical La-7 escorts, and low altitude furballing that exists in perpetuity in the MA. With the available bombers and fighters in the game, with GV support, a series of successful missions can effectively destory an enemy's ability to wage war, but too many of us are too reluctant to call a mission just to "mix it up," and many of these issions turn into a gang-o-rama.

I've run several missions, of varying types, and the only thing we could use are more of them, and people to fly in them. It's absolute child's play to create 20 formations of B17's, with 40 P-51 advance escorts and close cover, and wipe out an entire front line. It's even easier to sneak a CV off the coast and NOE corsairs and other USN Aircraft to steal a base under their noses. Plane types don't make a mission successful, teamwork does.

Why aren't we doing more of this?

Rocstar3 Mugzeee, and others for trying to get folks to sign up.

Or better yet, learn to understand finnish and join the Finns on our thursday evening (afternoon US time) missions in Rook-land.  We usually fly the 109G2/G6, FM2, 110G2, 190F8 and Ju88. Sometimes even the occasional Ju87. Not much post-1943 planes. :)

Thursday afternoons huh? I may not understand finnish, but a mission's a mission... not hard to follow along! If you ever need an extra 190 or 110 driver just get the word out, I'll probably be around :) .
