You have to realize that the purpose of radio talk shows (particularly political ones) isn't to educate or to inform, but rather to rant and rave and stir public outcry so that the radio station can attract an audience and generate more advertising.  That's one of the reasons I don't listen to Rush Limbaugh - he twists the truth to cause a public reaction.  He's more showman than educator.  He's the P.T. Barnum of talk radio.

If you want education and information, try NPR.

edit: and its not just political talk radio, either.  The sports talk radio guys are just as bad.  A guy I know at work is a hockey fan and used to call the local sports radio stations (we have 2 here) every afternoon on his way home and talk about the Tampa Bay Lightning.  Eventually they both quit taking his calls!

Yeah, I can't listen to talk radio period.

If you do want to get on, call and say:
"Hello, my name is OR. I would like a chance to speak with your hosts and express the deep shame I feel at the cowardly behaviour of my country, France, with respect to the necessary and just war being waged by the great democracy of the United States against a clear terrorist who is bent on destroying freedom in the world."

That otta do it.
then, when you get in, give hte long windup about how you're deeply concerned about freedom, human rights, and acting correctly, and  how the US-france thing has you worried for your country.  Then unload and give them both barrels before they hang up on you.

Maybe they just don't give a rat's bellybutton what you think!

Is that wrong?

Their show so if they want to bash people then it's their choice.

Seriously, can you give me one good reason why they should take your call? I mean it is pretty obvious you were going to say something along the lines of "I am French and we are not the cowards you hold us up to be, we have feelings too" etc etc...

Why take your call?

Bon courage a toi Frenchy !
