Hehe....in College (early 80's) I used to read the old Moscow News at our campus library......man, it was always good for a laugh!
Come to think of it, that's the difference isn't it? Between the old Soviet culture (which Borada waxes nostalgic about) and the culture in the U.S.
I mean, my own college library carried the best propaganda rags the Soviets had to offer (during the Cold War). Yet, could you get that kind of unfettered access to the typical U.S. rags in the Soviet run state? As accessible as your local library?
At this wasn't some major east or west coast school, where it would be more expected. Just a regular little Midwest University.
Anyway, kind of brought me back to my drunken college days.
Don't ask me how I mistakenly stumbled into the campus library, let alone actually read something in there
