one week in the US has adjusted.

The Iraqis had a little flash of non helplessness there last week. I think it will be a much worse week for them this time.

Lots of veteran troops in the US Brit force now. They have seen the worst non chem attack that the Iraqis can dish out. They have seen every kind of friendly fire incedent so the shock of that is gone. A few prisoners taken by the Iraqis so that shock of that is gone.

Really just a war to fight now. The Iraqis have shown thier going to fight and the allies have shown that they are resiltiant as well.
Both sides have shown good manuver judgment.
The US understands the Sand issues now and the way the Iraqis will likly use it. Dont be supprised is the Iraqis have a real nasty instore for them next sand storm.  Probably air deployed mine field...would work just great against a mass tank attack running blind in the sand.

Combat jump in Northern Iraq. Lots of jumpers all over the world will be talking about that...

Uh, Martlet, that would be a coalition deployed mine field he's talking about.

And while I feel better about the situation now that they've halted to consolidate and resupply, too bring more troops to the theater and to let the airpower work a bit, it's not over either.

Still, it has to be said that given the advance, the type of fighting and the deliberate restraint used to prevent/reduce non-combatant casualties, the Coalition forces have done very well with relatively few casualites themselves. Although none would be best, we all knew that wasn't possible.

LoL.

The only thing "air deployed" an Iraqi could ever deploy would be a parachute.

And thats only if he was REAL lucky.

Yup. If the Iraqis could air deploy a  mine field..we woudl have seen it by now. I accturally wresteled with the wording of that to try to be clear who would be supprising whom, not very successfuly it seems.
The faster they get the ballance of forces in that country the better it will be.They have to remind the Iraqis who will win this thing ASAP.
