Khan? Caesar? Napolean?

I think it was Alexander the great.

Many a time he was outnumbered and even thought in the frontlines.

yours?

Next would be Henry 5th.

Battle of Agincourt, 7000 troops, 5000 being mostly longbowmen and they defeated a french army of over 30000 with only a few hundred dead.

Depends what the criteria are. I'd say Alexander the Great for sheer territorial accomplishment through conquest. He was a genius.

In more recent times, I'd say Napoleon.
War! Never been so much fun. War! Never been so much fun! Go to your brother, Kill him with your gun, Leave him lying in his uniform, Dying in the sun.

going by eras ancient id say Alexander, then Napoleon, then Manstein, then Giap. Henry V was a good general and a superior leader of men id say. can you imagine the look on Alexander face if he ever saw an armored unit in combat?
